I Hate Growing Up

Just imagining what a woman of 40 yrs must be thinking, sitting on her bed, on a Sunday noon.

Now you know why your parents feel childhood was the best. You feel it already! You're old, crummy in an age and time, when people increasingly walk the edge to do things differently and capture a "young age" frame of body, mind, language, gestures, imitations, surgeries, everything! What if your daughter was standing in front of you, erect frame, tight skin, glowing skin, long, healthy hair. You would immediately look at the comb next to you, with some strands loosely hanging about, like tried and tested in your imagination, and finally rested. Sometimes, you'd wish you were different, more active, running around, jogging, pumping the irons, just so, to watch yourself match up to the ever-so-elusive age trap. Well, you'd rather turn the page of the Sunday newspaper, read some comforting lines on philosophy, have your juice/coffee and smile.
