How does it feel like upfront on the mere mention of holidaying?
Awesome!
Going for a holiday is always a refreshing thought. Well, so what's the big deal unless it's a lesser-known destination?
Having studied and worked in Mumbai, I've always told myself the city is teflon-coated.
There are two things here. The individual who has a story to tell of his/her life in Mumbai and the other of a collective whole, the ethos.
On the face of it, there is the back and forth everyday journey of a work hungry race. On the other, it is the fearless face of a blitzkreig, the noise of the changing culture growing louder.
There's no point trying to gain ground, attempting to give a label to the city, you'll slip off the turf. However, as I try harder, I only see a delicate balance of pleasure and business, and the city continuing to have the last laugh, firmly holding on as the entertainment and business capital.
There will always be space, lots of room to introspect on what's happening all around you.
You can watch the clock and live under the Big Cat's shadow.

I actually am less fortunate cpnpared to all you guys, as have never been exposed to life beyond Bombay. But yes, all i can tell from colleagues and friends who've come here from rest of the country, they are just too much in love with the place :)
